Michael G. Rubin
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer
Michael G. Rubin has served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of GSI Commerce® since July 1995 and as president since October 2006. Prior, he also served as GSI Commerce's co-president from May 2004 through August 2005 and as GSI Commerce's president from June 2000 through May 2004. He directly oversees the sales, strategic planning and corporate development group, and the corporate support and governance group. He has built GSI Commerce into one of the leading e-commerce companies in the United States and has received awards and media attention for his entrepreneurial skills and various accomplishments.
Michael R. Conn
Executive Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Michael R. Conn has served as our executive vice president, finance, and chief financial officer (CFO) since March 2007, and our senior vice president, finance, and CFO from January 2006 through March 2007. He served as our senior vice president of corporate development from July 2004 until January 2006, senior vice president, business development from June 2000 through July 2004, and senior vice president of strategic development from February 1999 through June 2000. From June 1993 to February 1999, he was employed at Gruntal & Co. L.L.C., an investment banking firm based in New York, New York, where he last served as vice president, research.
Steven Davis
Executive Vice President, International and President, GSI Commerce Europe
Steven Davis was named executive vice president, international, for GSI Commerce and president, GSI Commerce Europe in April 2007. Prior, he served as our senior vice president, partner services, from December 2004 to March 2007. He also served as a consultant from February 2004 to December 2004 and our senior vice president, marketing from January 2000 to February 2004. From June 1996 to January 2000, Mr. Davis held a number of management positions at Just for Feet Inc., a specialty sporting goods retailer based in Birmingham, Ala., where his last served as vice president of marketing.
Fiona Dias
Executive Vice President, Strategy and Marketing
Fiona Dias has served as the executive vice president, strategy and marketing, since February 2007. Prior to joining GSI Commerce®, Fiona was Chief Marketing Officer of Circuit City, responsible for all marketing activities. She also was President of circuitcity.com whose online revenues peaked at $1.5 billion. She is an entertaining keynote speaker at Internet industry events, and has been interviewed on CBS News, MSNBC, Fox Business News and is often quoted in publications like The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, USA Today, Time, and Internet Retailer.
She currently serves on the board of directors of Choice Hotels (CHH), a global multi-brand hotel franchising company, and Advance Auto Parts (AAP), a leading automotive aftermarket retailer. She has held senior management positions with Frito-Lay Company (a division of Pepsico), Quaker State Company and Procter & Gamble Inc. She received her Master of Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University.
Ben Fischman
President and Chief Executive Officer, Retail Convergence Inc.
Ben Fischman has served as president and chief executive officer of Retail Convergence Inc. (RCI), since September 2005. Acquired by GSI in October 2009, RCI is a Boston-based company that operates RueLaLa.com, an online industry-leading, members-only private sale destination, and SmartBargains.com, an off-price e-commerce marketplace. An original member of the start-up team, Fischman joined RCI as vice president of strategic development in April 2000. Fischman launched Rue La La in April of 2008 and in 18 months grew Rue La La to more than 1.2 million members.
Prior to joining Retail Convergence Inc., Fischman was the inaugural entrepreneur-in-residence at General Catalyst, a venture capital and private equity firm that invests in innovative technology-based companies. He was also the founder of Lids Corporation, an exclusive retailer of sports caps, which grew to 350 retail locations until Fischman sold the company in 2001.
Jim Flanagan
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Jim Flanagan is the executive vice president, human resources, for GSI. Jim joined the company as senior vice president of HR in April 2004. Prior, he served in human resources leadership positions for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Bank of America, HomeGrocer.com and Starbucks Coffee Company. At Starwood, he headed human resources for the Stars and Brands division, which included technology, marketing, distribution, revenue management, and Web and customer care centers.
Stephen J. Gold
Executive Vice President, Chief Information Officer and Corporate Chief Technology Officer
Stephen J. Gold has served as our executive vice president and chief information officer since February 2005, and as our corporate chief technology officer since October 2009. From November 2003 until February 2005, he served as corporate vice president and divisional chief information officer of Merck & Company Inc., a pharmaceutical company. From July 1993 to September 2003, he held various positions with Medco Health Solutions Inc., a prescription benefits management company, when it was a subsidiary of Merck. Most recently, he served as senior vice president and chief information officer and senior vice president, electronic commerce.
Scott Hardy
Executive Vice President, Business Management
Scott Hardy joined GSI as executive vice president, business management in May 2007. Prior to GSI, Hardy led the consumer markets segment in the Americas at BearingPoint, Inc., a global management and technology consulting company, where he oversaw some of its largest commercial engagements in areas such as business transformation, customer management, and merchandising. He has also held posts as vice president at The Garr Consulting Group, a subsidiary of Deloitte & Touche, LLP, and Camco Paints/Wallpaper Atlanta. Hardy is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Bob Liewald
Executive Vice President, Merchandising
Robert W. Liewald has served as our executive vice president, merchandising since July 1999 and worked as a consultant to us and to other companies in the sporting goods industry from June 1998 to July 1999. From January 1995 to June 1998, he served as senior executive vice president of FILA USA, an athletic footwear and apparel manufacturer. From June 1972 to January 1995, he held a variety of positions at Foot Locker, Inc., an athletic footwear and apparel retailer, where he last served as senior vice president, corporate merchandiser.
Arthur H. Miller
Executive Vice President and General Counsel
Arthur H. Miller has served as executive vice president and general counsel for GSI Commerce since September 1999. From January 1988 to September 1999, he was a partner in the corporate department of Blank Rome Comisky & McCauley LLP, a law firm based in Philadelphia, Pa. He joined Blank Rome in April 1983.
Damon Mintzer
Executive Vice President, Sales
Damon Mintzer has served as the executive vice president, sales, for GSI since July 2004. He also served as president and chief operating officer of GSI Commerce West, a wholly owned subsidiary of GSI, from June 2001 to November 2006. From October 1999 to May 2001, he worked for WHN.com, a developer and operator of e-commerce businesses for entertainment companies. He first served as vice president of business development and then as senior vice president and general manager of one of WHN's two business units. From 1998 to October 1999, he served as director of sales for the Asia Pacific region for Modus Media International, Inc., a supply chain services company. From 1995 to 1998, he served as director of business development for Modus Media International/Stream International, which was a subsidiary of R.R. Donnelley & Sons Co.
Nick Pahade
President, TrueAction™
Nick Pahade joined GSI Commerce in February 2008 as president of TrueAction™. Pahade leads TrueAction's growth strategy, partner relationships, and its team of interactive design and marketing professionals. He has more than a decade of leadership experience in the advertising and marketing industries and has created digital marketing programs for many leading brands. Before joining GSI, Pahade was president of Denuo, Publicis Groupe's futures practice, and led global digital development for Publicis Groupe Media. Prior to Denuo, he was president of Beyond Interactive Inc., which he co-founded. He was also managing director of Mediacom Digital, part of WPP's GroupM and Grey Global Group. Pahade has been recognized by MEDIA magazine as one of the top 50 People to Know in Interactive Marketing, Advertising Age's coveted 40 under 40 list, and as a MediaPost Online All-Star.
Pahade serves as the chairman of the AAAA's Digital Marketing committee and sits on a variety of industry boards. He holds dual degrees in biopsychology and marketing from the University of Michigan.
Robert Wuesthoff
Executive Vice President, Global Operations
Robert Wuesthoff has served as our executive vice president of global operations since September 2005. From 1992 until September 2005, he held various positions with Medco Health Solutions Inc., a prescription-drug benefit management company, including regional vice president of mail service pharmacy operations and most recently senior vice president of customer care. Prior to Medco, he worked for Johnson & Johnson's Personal Products Company for 10 years, where he held leadership roles in manufacturing, distribution, and customer care. Wuesthoff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Management from Penn State and a MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
