Favre Jets Jersey Sets Daily Record for NFLShop.com Sales

Online Record Established for Most NFL Single-Player Jerseys Sold in a Day

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Aug. 8, 2008 – GSI Commerce Inc. (Nasdaq: GSIC), the National Football League’s partner in managing and operating NFL Shop, which includes the league’s e-commerce site located at www.NFLShop.com and the NFL’s official catalog, reported more than 6,500 Brett Favre New York Jets jerseys were sold online at NFLShop.com on Aug. 7.

This achievement marks a single-day sales record for an NFL player’s jersey on NFLShop.com, breaking the previous record when nearly 900 Tony Romo jerseys were sold on November 11, 2007.

NFLShop.com went live with the Favre Jets jersey and other select Jets merchandise just after 6:00 AM on Thursday, less than five hours after the Green Bay Packers announced Favre’s trade to the Jets on Wednesday, Aug. 6. 

“Fans don’t want to wait when something like this happens and NFLShop.com was and is one of the few places where fans can go immediately to order their new Favre Jets jersey,” said Michael G. Rubin, chairman and CEO of GSI. “Orders remain very strong today (Friday) for Favre merchandise.”
