Global Sports Chairman & CEO Named Entrepreneur of the Year
Global Sports, Inc. (NASDAQ: GSPT) today announced Michael G. Rubin, Chairman and CEO, was named Entrepreneur of the Year at the 2000 Greater Philadelphia Entrepreneur of the Year awards presented by Ernst & Young. Mr. Rubin was recognized in the Emerging E-Business-To-Business category for developing Global Sports innovative business model and directing the company’s aggressive growth path since its formation approximately 18 months ago.

This award represents the second time Ernst & Young has honored Mr. Rubin with the Entrepreneur of the Year award. Mr. Rubin was first honored in 1994 for his work with KPR Sports International, an athletic footwear and diversified sporting goods company, that was owned by Mr. Rubin.
