Global Sports, Inc. Appoints Steven Davis as Senior Vice President of Marketing

GLOBAL SPORTS, INC. (NASDAQ: GSPT), an Internet company that develops and operates the online businesses of leading sporting goods retailers, announced today that Steven Davis has been appointed Senior Vice President of Marketing, a new position. Mr. Davis will be responsible for implementing marketing strategies aimed at raising the visibility of and driving traffic to Global Sports’ partner Web sites, which include, http://TheSportsAuthority.com, http://www.TheAthletesFoot.com, http://www.SportChalet.com, http://MCSports.com, http://www.DunhamsSports.com, http://www.Oshmans.com, and http://store.WebMD.com. Mr. Davis will report to Global Sports Executive Vice President Michael Golden.

Mr. Davis joins Global Sports from Just for Feet, where he held a variety of senior-level marketing positions within the company, having most recently served as vice president of marketing. At Just for Feet, Mr. Davis oversaw all of the company’s marketing functions, including advertising, promotions, direct mail and database management, in-store broadcasts, and the company’s Internet activities.

Previously, Mr. Davis held marketing positions for such widely recognized brands as Dell Computer and Anheuser Busch. Mr. Davis received a M.B.A from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a B.S. from the University of Delaware.
