Global Sports Interactive Announces New Management

GLOBAL SPORTS, INC. (NASDAQ: GSPT) today announced that Michael Golden and
Bob Liewald have been named Executive Vice Presidents of its Global Sports
Interactive division. In addition, GSI has appointed Bob Rothenberg as Vice President
Marketing and Business Development, Walt Janowski as Executive Producer and Jim
Hartmann as a Senior Merchant.

Before joining GSI, Mr. Golden served as Senior Vice President Corporate
Development of Organic Inc. While at Organic, Mr. Golden developed and managed the
company’s New York office, founded its subsidiary Organic Media (the largest buyer of
online media in the world with estimated 1999 billings of $110 million) and managed
client relationships that included BarnesandNoble.com, Music Blvd., Gateway
Computers, Iomega, Colgate, Chase Bank, Fragrance Counter and Lucent
Technology. Prior to Organic Inc., Mr. Golden was Senior Vice President of the Bates
Interactive division of Bates Worldwide, with responsibility for implementing new media
strategies for leading global brands including: EDS, T. Rowe Price, Avis, Perrier,
Cunard, Chase Bank and Warner Lambert. Mr. Golden, who joined GSI in March 1999
will oversee engineering, production, creative, marketing & business development and
client services.

Prior to joining Global Sports Interactive, Liewald served as Senior Executive Vice
President of Fila USA with responsibility for footwear and retail stores on a worldwide
basis and all U.S. operations. Prior to Fila, Mr. Liewald worked for Venator Group for
over 20 years, most recently with the position of Senior Vice President Corporate
Merchandiser, with responsibility for all merchandising at Foot Locker, Lady Foot
Locker, Kids Foot Locker and Champs Sports, which had combined annual sales in
excess of $3.0 billion. Mr. Liewald held various other positions at Venator including
Vice President General Merchandise Manager for Champs Sports and Vice President
Merchandise Manager at Foot Locker and Lady Foot Locker. Mr. Liewald, who will
officially join Global Sports Interactive on June 1, 1999 will oversee the entire
merchandising organization for the company’s five E-commerce Websites.

Prior To GSI, Mr. Rothenberg served as Manger of Business Development for the
National Basketball Association, with responsibility for retail, catalog and E-commerce
operations. Mr. Janowski previously served as Director of New Media for Sony. Jim
Hartmann most recently served as President of the Kids Foot Locker division of
Venator Group.
