Global Sports Recognized for Excellence in Web Site Development and Customer Service
Global Sports, Inc. (NASDAQ: GSPT), a leading developer and operator of e-commerce sporting goods businesses, today announced that it has been honored by two national media outlets for its excellence in Web site development and customer service.
Global Sports was named Top Business-to-Business Sports Internet Company of the Year by Street & Smith’s SportsBusiness Journal. This award honors the sports Internet company that, in 2000, achieved the most in developing and serving major clients in the sports space, innovated in terms of technology and service, and earned strong revenues with a clear upward trend. Global Sports will be honored at the Interactive Sports West conference in Los Angeles, California on May 16, 2001.
Global Sports was also named the 2000 Call Center of the Year for Online Businesses by Call Center Magazine. This award recognizes Global Sports’ success in implementing new technologies, meeting service goals, decreasing turnover and increasing productivity throughout 2000. Global Sports was honored with this award at Call Center Demo & Conference 2001 in Orlando, Florida. The Call Center of the Year recipients will be featured in the June issue of Call Center Magazine.
