GSI Commerce Ranks as a Top Choice Among Internet Retailer’s Top 500 Online Retailers; Company Named as Leading Provider for Web Hosting

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., Oct. 2, 2006 –GSI Commerce Inc., (Nasdaq: GSIC) ranked as the leading provider or the runner-up in six of 16 e-commerce applications and services categories based on use among the Top 500 online retailers, according to research published recently by Internet Retailer Magazine.

GSI Commerce tied as the leading provider for Web hosting, a category in which GSI Commerce provides the service to 14 of the Top 500 online retailers, according to information compiled from the magazine’s annual “Top 500 Guide.” GSI Commerce is also listed as runner-up in the content management, e-commerce platform, fulfillment, order management and site design categories. GSI Commerce is the only application or services provider listed more than three times as either the leader or the runner-up across any of the 16 categories.
