GSI Commerce Scores as the Leading e-Commerce Platform Choice Among the Top 300 U.S. Retail Web Sites

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., June 30, 2004 – GSI Commerce Inc. (Nasdaq: GSIC), today announced that its e-commerce platform was the leading choice among more of the Top 300 Web retailers in the United States than any other solution provider’s platform, according to research published in June by Internet Retailer Magazine in the 2004 edition of its “Top 300 Guide.”

Web sites were awarded the Top 300 ranking based on their 2003 U.S. sales volumes. Of the Top 300 retail Web sites ranked, 23 operated on GSI Commerce’s e-commerce platform for either all or part of 2003. An additional four of the Top 300 Web sites either have selected or have converted to the GSI Commerce e-commerce platform since the beginning of 2004.

GSI Commerce partners with retailers, branded manufacturers, entertainment companies and professional sports organizations to operate online retail stores and multi-channel sales solutions. GSI Commerce partner companies listed in the Top 300 include those involved in the retail industry’s apparel and footwear, beauty, consumer electronics, media and entertainment, general merchandise, home and sporting goods categories.

“We congratulate our partners who made this inaugural list. The research and rankings demonstrate we have an e-commerce platform that can support the requirements of the country’s leading online stores,” said Michael G. Rubin, chairman and chief executive officer of GSI Commerce.

According to Internet Retailer, the rankings are the culmination of six months of research conducted by the magazine. The resulting guide is the first effort of its kind regarding the online retail industry in the U.S., according to Internet Retailer. The magazine plans to make the rankings guide an annual event.
