Houston Texans Enter E-Commerce Agreement With GSI Commerce

GSI COMMERCE, INC. (NASDAQ: GSIC), a leading outsource solution for e-commerce, and the HOUSTON TEXANS, the NFL’s newest expansion team, announced today an alliance to develop and operate the new e-commerce store located at store.houstontexans.com.

The new store is being promoted on the Houston Texans official Web site, Houstontexans.com, and features an extensive selection of Texan’s licensed products, tailgating items, and related football gear. GSI Commerce handles all facets of the e-commerce operation including web site development, merchandising, customer service, order processing, and fulfillment.

The Houston Texans were named the National Football League’s 32nd franchise on October 6, 1999. The team began to take shape with the hiring of general manager Charley Casserly on January 19, 2000, followed by head coach Dom Capers on January 21, 2001.
